Announcement
Kathy is currently on Sabbatical so she is not working on the Holiness Postings for now.

Holiness Postings

The eighth question is:

Based on the article, "The Beauty of Holiness" (Articles  page), how is meditating on the beauty of holiness meaningful to you? How is it motivating to make holy choices? How have you seen that choosing holiness brings beauty into your life?

Send your answers to Kathy@KathyCollardMiller.com. In the subject line, write "holiness."

This page is the "door" to the postings about holiness that I've invited any who would like to, to submit ideas, thoughts, and musings about the subject of holiness. If you'd like the background for this, please go to the Articles  page and read the article, "An Invitation to Dialogue About Holiness." If you'd like to know the guidelines for submitting your own ideas, please go to Writers Guidelines

When I sent out the initial announcement about this opportunity, I didn't know what to expect. Did anyone else value a journey toward holiness? Had anyone else been thinking and meditating about holiness? I really wondered if anyone would respond. Maybe I was alone in being sensitive to this subject.

I needn't have wondered. The response was immediate and incredible. Within 30 minutes of sending out the announcement, ten people had responded they were interested in being involved in a "chat room--without a chat room" and eventually 85 people indicated a desire to be alerted to new postings and most of them, to submitting their own ideas. Plus, many said that their own hearts have been drawn toward being more holy. Obviously, God is working in this area.

Let me clarify that the postings are the opinions of the various people who have written and submitted their thoughts. I have not done any editing nor do I intend to comment on the comments. Plus, unlike some blog-style postings, there is not an opportunity to respond to the different people's opinions.

Click for the answers to the 1st Question 1-20-05. The question in the first posting was "What is holiness? What is unholiness?"

Click for the answers to the 2nd Question (posted 1/31/05). The second question is: "We know that being holy does not require or demand that we be or become perfect on this earth.  But how do you resolve God's command to be holy and the fact that we won't become perfect? Does that cause spiritual/emotional tension within you or not? If so, why and what do you do with that? If not, why?"

Click for the answers to the 3rd Question (posted 2/14/05. The third question is: "As you consider the painful experiences from your past, can you see connections to your current unholy reactions?"

Click for the answers to the 4th Question (posted March 2, 2005). The fourth question is: "Who do you think (besides Jesus) is an example of holiness in the Bible and why? How would you like to grow in holiness like that person?"

Click for the answers to the 5th Question (posted March 16, 2205). The fifth question is: How would you like to apply the "STAND Principle" (see Articles page for details) for resisting temptation and therefore, becoming more holy?

Click for the answers to the 6th Question (posted April 5, 2005). The sixth question is: "Although we know there is no small sin because all sin is sin, what do you think is the most common (what might be called) 'small' sin that unbelievers and/or Christians excuse as inconsequential? Can you share an example of when allowing a 'small' sin in your life opened the door for more or greater sin?"

Click for the answers to the 7th Question (posted May 2, 2005). The seventh question is: "Based on the article, "The "TRPFAW" for Holiness" (Articles  page), how do you intend to apply the whole armor of God to grow in holiness? Or please share how you have applied the armor of God in the past.

If you are new to this opportunity, please go to Writers Guidelines to know how to become involved. Anyone is welcome to begin at any time. The comments for "Old" questions will not be added to on the web site, but you are welcome to send me your comments anyway for use in a possible book in the future.
