"Using weather elements author Kathy Collard Miller compares our spiritual walk with storms, tornados, sunshine, snow, ice and others.

Each chapter is set up with a weather related title, how that element correlates to our lives, digging deeper, a study on a bible character that went through something similar, and ends with a letter from God.

With chapter titles like Anticipating a Storm; What you Fear May be the Greatest Blessing, Catching the rainbow; How Prayer Alleviates Worry, Seeing Past the Snowstorm; How God's Sovereignty Provides, and Tornado a-comin'; Finding the Storm Cellar of God's Power, the reader anticipates a fun but meaningful read, and the author doesn't disappoint.

Personal testimonies, fun illustrations and bible teaching are scattered through the chapters, making the reading more intimate, practical and allows the reader to reflect on how to affect changes in their own lives.

This easy to use book is perfect for individual study or group study and there is a Group Leaders guide at the end. This should be the next book you self study or use for your women's study. It's practical, purposeful, and packs a spiritual punch. Highly recommended."--Road to Romance (www.roadtoromance.ca)

"In Partly Cloudy with Scattered Worries, Kathy Collard Miller looks at worry from a biblical perspective. In an honest, straight-forward manner, Miller gives us the tools, through personal stories, biblical stories, specific strategies and discussion questions, to take a hard look at and then overcome worry.

An important take-away for me came early and contributed greatly in how I integrated the rest of the book's information. Miller attended a Bill Gothard seminar where he said, "Think of the worst possible thing that can happen and then think of reasons why it wouldn't be so bad after all." Whew! When it's put that way, where I can actually look at something, dissect it and put it in perspective, it makes it so much more manageable.

It seems to me that if one really wants to rid themselves of worry, thoughtfully read Miller's book and then prayerfully follow her suggestions."--Armchair Interviews.com

"I just wanted to let you know how very much Partly Cloudy with Scattered Worries is helping me through a difficult period in my daughter's, and thus my, life. I have been able to turn over my worries to God and trust in the knowledge that only God knows what is best and why my daughter's life is going in the direction that it is right now. So, I am sleeping better, praying more and I am going to read the book again but this time with the Bible beside me as I do. I recommended it to my sister and she and a friend are going to read it and do the discussion questions together."—Lynne

"I began reading some of the 'Letters from God' and they ministered to me deeply.  Then I skimmed some of the other pages, and found myself reading more than skimming.  Places where I was struggling were finding new meaning to the words. I think the passage that has stayed in my mind the most was the statement, 'If you know how to worry, you know how to meditate...'  just a shift in material.  I've been pulling Scriptures out to hold in my head to help me through this time in particular.  I just tell myself, 'put on the mind of Christ.'  When I feel really angry (like I did when I came to work this morning and saw that my co-worker had been going through my personal filing basket while I was off yesterday), I just meditate on the fruit of the Spirit.  When the financial issues I'm facing feel overwhelming, I tell myself to remember that the Lord promised to meet my needs. You gave me definition to 'meditation.' But the most powerful places in your book right now, for me, are the letters from God... they speak to hurting places. I want to do the study questions."—Christi

"Congratulations on a wonderful book.  It is truly inspiring and contains a lot of things that I know I will refer to again and again. I just admire your honesty in sharing your personal trials and the chapter on your relationship with your father-in-law was very moving.

I wanted to share something with you.  Last October, when I was really close to the breaking point, I was trying very hard to release my anxiety and worry about my daughter and baby to the Lord, but I just could not let go. I was in tears most of the time and just couldn't trust that my prayers would be answered or even acknowledged.  One really bad day, I was praying all day 'Lord, please let me be able to turn this problem over to you.' That night, I really fell into a deep sleep and just felt so warm and felt that someone was holding me.  I even woke up and looked over at my husband and it was not him!  He was sound asleep.

I had not felt so safe and nurtured in months.  It was just the most wonderful feeling and the next morning, I was able to trust that it was in God's hands.  Not that I don't have my moments of doubt, but I can get back on track again in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks again for your ministry and I am sure you will never know all the lives you impact by your work."—Judi

"Your book is FABULOUS!!!  I'm not quite done with it yet, but WOW!  I was on the plane reading, hoping the flight would be a little longer (imagine THAT!) so I could keep reading.  And when I came upon the Letters from God, I teared up and wished I were alone with Him to really soak it in.  What inspired words these are from His Spirit to mine!  I can't tell you, Kathy, how many nails you hit square on the head with this book!"—Dee
